YouTree was founded in 2019 by Jay in an aim to provide high quality, bespoke services to individuals who want to know more about their own family history. We bring together decades of research and investigative skills from the Corporate Investigations sector, allowing us to access unique databases which aid in genealogical research, probate and family tracing.
You will always speak to us, so we can go on the journey with you to discover the past.

After working within executive search for a number of years, Richard has moved into the investigative field.
Richard obtained an MA Oxon in English Literature from Lincoln College, the University of Oxford in 2006.

Jay has 15 years of investigative experience having worked for a London investigative firm and then he set up his own successful business in 2009.

He was born and raised in Hong Kong and went on to live in Australia, Africa, and the United Kingdom, which has given him a good understanding of different cultures and traditions.
​
Many years ago Jay discovered through his own family research that he has native Australian ancestors, despite him and immediate family having no physical characteristics. This planted a seed for him to develop his passion for family history into a business.

Anita provides business governance and consultancy for YouTree having many years in business consultancy off the back of her MA (Hons) Business Studies from the University of Edinburgh.

Find a Grave
Family graves can provide many insights into family members. They can sometime confirm marriages and children, that were not identified via historical records. We can visit and attempt to locate graves throughout Europe and provide photographs with GPS coordinates.
Find a Person
Are you trying to find information on an ancestor? We can build a person profile with all their historical documents, including birth, death, marriages, residency records, travel documents and military records. On occasion we can also locate photographs of individuals from other family research groups.
Genealogy
Discover your family history all over the world. Do you want to know more about who you are and where you came from? We can find and prove your lineage with copies of birth, marriage and death certificates, together with a printed and digital family tree.
Historical Documents
Do you need to obtain a specific document in a different language? We have experience in obtaining official documents from all over Europe. We can also provide translations of documents to assist in your family research.
Probate
During the difficult bereavement process individuals may be identified who need to be located. We have extensive experience in tracing individuals worldwide.
Family Trace
Were you adopted, did you lose contact with either parent or do you suspect you may have siblings you are not aware of? We can assist and reuniting lost family all over the world.
